Brisbane Model Marine Club

Interested in model powerboat racing? Well you’ve come to the right place !!! If you’re into model power boats, you’re among friends at Brisbane Model Marine (BMMC). BMMC is Brisbane’s premier radio control model powerboat racing club catering for electric, nitro and petrol powered boats within Mono hull, Tunnel hull, Hydroplane, Outrigger and Offshore classes. The aim at BMMC is to develop and promote radio control model power boating to a standard where members can be competitive at any race meeting throughout Australia, or just come along and run a boat for the fun of it.

This is accomplished through a friendly and informative atmosphere and an openness towards assisting all members to fully develop their skills. If your boat is fast, we will race you, but if racing is not your scene, we can help you get the most enjoyment from your hobby. There is nothing like hands on experience, and BMMC members are some of the most knowledgeable in the sport, from boat designers and builders, to engine modifiers, to championship winners and national record holders. It all adds up to a fun day at the lake !!!

The club uses an excellent fresh water lake located at Lawnton on Brisbane's doorstep. Members are able to run their boats twice per month, either competitively or socially. All types of r/c power boats are most welcome. If you are new to this sport or would like to join Brisbane Model Marine, we encourage you to come along to one of our club days and see why model power boating is so exciting. We're hooked !!!
