Founded in the early 1970’s by members of the Triple S Model Boat Club, Brisbane Model Marine’s primary goal is to foster and conduct model powerboat racing through club level, inter-club level and interstate racing events.
Members meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, alternating between racing and testing days. Test and Tune days allow non-racers a chance to run their boats, while at the same time allowing the hardcore racers time for fine tuning before the next race meeting.
The club has access to a lake owned by Philip Usher constructions (formally Boral). Access is via a gate which is located on Lawnton pocket road, Lawnton. See the Location page for details.
